As per this discussion, this includes a commit that syncs cosmetic changes with Tomli (to reduce diff and make maintenance easier), so this is probably best reviewed by commit.

Thank you! The changes are rather small, and match the spec updates as far as I can see; the cosmetic changes are indeed cosmetic.

I'll merge ~Friday is there are no objections, to give others a chance to review

support writing TOML.

Would it be possible to elaborate changes between TOML 1.0 and TOML 1.1? Maybe just give some examples.

I suggest to document this change in What's New in Python 3.15.

That's a good point. I suggest:

  • Copying the first four points from TOML changelog to What's New (with attribution link)
  • Linking to the What's New entry from here. (In the long term, a changelog will be increasingly distracting.)
